TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama hopes Jakarta administration can build a child-friendly integrated public space (RPTRA) in every community unit (RW). This year, Jakarta administration is targeting to build 150 RPTRA. The figure could rise to 200 RPTRA next year.
“In the mean time, Jakarta can only build 131 RPTRA until the end of this year,” Ahok said yesterday during the inauguration of RPTRA Karang Anyar and Pintu Air, Sawah Besar Sub-district, Jakarta.
Today, Ahok will inaugurate a RPTRA that was built with the funds from Agung Podomoro Land’s CSR program. The RPTRA was situated under Mangga Besar Rail Station, Sawah Besar Sub-district, Central Jakarta.
Ideally, there should be one RPTRA for every 2,500 residents, according to Ahok. The figure is equal to the number of residents in a community unit. To achive the target, Ahok has ordered all mayors to acquire land for RPTRA. “Every mayor may acquire land from residents who want to sell it,” Ahok said.
