Police Unveils 70kg Crystal Meth in a Shop-house

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang-The Narcotics Division of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Resort Police have seized 70kg of crystal meth from a shop-house at Arcadia complex in Ceper, Tangerang City, during Monday’s raid, May 23, 2016.

“14 crystal meth packages weighing a total of 70kg was stored inside a blower machine,” Soekarno-Hatta Airport Resort Police Narcotics Division Chief Commissioner Martua Raja Silitonga said Tuesday, May 24, 2016.

The crystal meth was wrapped in 14 transparent plastics. Authorities found that the drug was hidden inside the inner part of the blower machine in the garage. “We have confiscated the evidence,” he said.

Martua says the shop-house is currently used as a welding shop, but the place was empty when police performed the raid.

Police have questioned the owner of the shop-house who is currently in New Zealand. The owner claimed he had rented the place but did not know who the tenant is.
