TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 100,000 civil servants (PNS) and freelancers under serving the Jakarta Provincial Government will undergo an urine test. As planned, the urine test that held ahead of Ramadan will involve Jakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNNP).
"We will do urine test for civil servant and freelancer. First stage, we focus on those under Cleanliness Dept, including PPSU," disclosed Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, when he welcomed a visit of Jakarta BNNP, at City Hall, Monday (5/23).
Djarot expressed such test would be held suddenly or one week prior to Ramadan.
"Ramadan is getting closer. Usually they use the moment to consume drugs before Ramadan," he told.
Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta BNNP, Brig. Gen. Iwan Ibrahim admitted ready to cooperate with Jakarta government.
"We're ready. We can do urine test towards 100 people per day," he finished.
