TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Presidential Communications Team Ari Dwipayanan said President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo has signed five Memoranda of Understanding with Russia in his working visit to the country. "Indonesia has signed five MoU with Russia," Ari said through an official statement Thursday, May 19, 2016.
The bilateral cooperations covered in the MoU include defense, national archive, culture, and IUU Fishing cooperations.
The MoU’s signing was done after the bilateral meeting between the Indonesian and Russian Federation governments in Bucherov Rucey; the official residence of President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, Russia on May 18, 2016.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo is attending the ASEAN-Russian Summit held on May 19-20, 2016 in Sochi, Russia.
Jokowi is also planned to meet with the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
