TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has announced that an earthquake occurred about 284km southwest of Tasikmalaya District, West Java.
The quake happened 4:08 a.m. Wednesday measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale at 10.15-degrees South Latitude – 107.57 degrees East Latitude at a depth of 10km. No potential tsunami threat is detected.
Previously, a 5-magnitude quake occurred about 212km northwest of Talaud Island, North Sulawesi, on Tuesday night.
The earthquake occurred 8:58 p.m. at a depth of 93km.
