Bank Mandiri Prepares Products for K24 Pharmacy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-PT Bank Mandiri plans to prepare products and banking services to ease payment process and finance the development of K24 Pharmacy franchise networks.

The signing of a cooperation agreement is done by Bank Mandiri Central Java and Yogyakarta Area Regional CEO Maqin U. Norhadi, Senior Vice President Bank Mandiri Teddy Y, as well as Director of PT K24 Indonesia Gideon Hartono and Director of PT K24 Klik Indonesia Bagas Prama Ananta in Yogyakarta on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.

Maqin said the ease of public access to health services including medicines, are part of the company’s focus to support the government in improving the people’s welfare. “The healthcare sector is one of Bank Mandiri’s priority sectors, considering the increasingly high demand for medicines that is inline with the rapid increase of the Indonesian population,” Maqin said in an official statement on Tuesday.

In the cooperation, the financing of network development is provided in the form of investment loan for the franchisee and/or prospective franchisee of K24 Pharmacy. The financing can be used to start up a new pharmacy, to takeover, or to replace asset of the existing pharmacy.

Aside from the financing, the collaboration will also allow public to make PLN and ticketing payment at 353 K24 Pharmacy outlets. Further, this feature will be developed to other payment services, including telco and cable TV.

“For payment, people can now use Mandiri debit card or e-money prepaid card at K24 Pharmacy and e-commerce for transactions via K24 online website. And there will also be prmotions and discounts for those who make payments using Mandiri Fiestapoin,” Maqin said.

After the signing of the agreement, Bank Mandiri will be placing Mandiri EDC machines throughout K24 Pharmacy.
