TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - The Yogyakarta city government has made efforts to develop tourism industry in the city, one of which through its ‘creative communities’.
"There are several creative communities that will help the government develop tourism industries, one of which by promotion done by those creative communities,” said Head of Yogyakarta Culture and Tourism Agency Eko Suryo Maharso in Yogyakarta on Sunday.
Eko added that one of the promotion measures that can be made is by spreading activities that can be done in Yogyakarta or various tourism potentials in Yogyakarta through social media in the forms of photos videos or other formats.
"For example, they can inform culinary delights in Kotagede, such as Kipo. The photos can uploaded through social media,” he added.
Eko added that that social media is a promotional media that cannot be ignored because now it is an inseparable part of the people.
"Our hope is that there will be more people visiting Yogyakarta and in turn it can develop other sectors within Yogyakarta’s tourism industries,” he added.
