TEMPO/Subekti.

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government had issued a dozen of economic policy packages in the past eight months. The latest – and the 12th - economic policy package issued by the government received positive response from businesses. Rosan Roeslani, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) said that policy makers are starting to stand on the same page.

Rosan explained that the current condition is much different from back in 2015, when businesses had to raise many concerns over the global economic slowdown. "For 2016, there is a better sense of optimisim," Rosan said back on April 28, 2016.

Rosan's optimism stems from the government's decision to issue deregulation policies in response to the economic slowdown. Rosan asserted that the issuance of the policy packages shows the government political will in improving the economy. However, Rosan added that the government must not stop. "We are waiting for the implementation [of the policy]," Rosan said.

In addition, Rosan said that the government must show its consistency in implementing policy packages. Rosan explained that consistency and stability is important for economic growth and the business world.
