TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has predicted overcast conditions over the majority of the Greater Jakarta region throughout May Day, which falls on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Throughout Sunday morning, thick, overcast conditions should be expected across Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, West Jakarta, as well as Tangerang and Bekasi.
Bogor and Depok residents, according to BMKG, should expect slight overcast conditions - with light-to-moderate rainfalls expected for North Jakarta and across the Thousand Islands.
BMKG forecasted that in the afternoon, light showers will begin to fall over South, East, and West Jakarta, while overcast conditions should be expected across the Thousand Islands, North Jakarta, and Central Jakarta. Meanwhile, moderate intensity rainfall is to be expected across Depok, Tangerang, Bogor, and Bekasi.
Varied forecast have been issued by BMKG for Sunday evening - with overcast skies predicted for the Thousand Islands, North Jakarta, and Central Jakarta, as well as West Jakarta and Bekasi.
That said, there is still a chance of light-intensity precipitation to shower over patches of the Greater Jakarta region - namely around South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang, while residents of Depok and Bogor should expect moderate intensity rainfall.
