TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Surabaya city administration has received an award of Evaluation of the Conduct of Regional Administration (EPPD) 2015 with the highest predicate in city administration category. The award and a certificate were given in the commemoration of Regional Autonomy Day in Kulon Progo District, Monday, April 26, 2016.

Pak Wisnu [Surabaya Deputy Mayor Whisnu Sakti Buana] received the award in person,” the Head of Government and Regional Autonomy Division, Eddy Christijanto, told a press conference in the community relation office of Surabaya city administration, Wednesday, April 27, 2016.

According to Eddy, around 70 indicators were being assessed, such as public service, education sector, etc. Some 41 regional working units (SKPD), 31 sub-districts and 154 urban villages were being assessed to accumulate points. “So, all SKPDs have contributed to the assessment,”

Eddy added, Surabaya city administration had won the award of ‘satya lencana purna karya nugraha’ 2014 before the EPPD award 2015. “If we win it three times in a row, we will receive the trophy of ‘Parasamiya Purna Karya Nugraha,’” he said.

Therefore, he is aiming to win the trophy of ‘Parasamiya Purna Karya Nugraha’ next year. The trophy can only be won if a regency or a city or a province wins the best predicate for three years in a row in the conduct of regional administration. “Surabaya have won two awards. I hope we can get another one next year, and get the trophy of ‘Parasamiya Purna Karya Nugraha.’”
