TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Andri Yansyah announced that the 3-in-1 policy removal trial had been extended to four weeks.
“The trial is aimed at finding a form of policy, while improving the public transportation quality,” Andri said after attending a meeting at the Jakarta administration office on Thursday, April 14, 2016.
Andri explained that the decision to remove or keep the 3-in-1 regulations will be made after the trial. “The governor said that it would be up to the people,” he added.
He revealed that the agency would coordinate with the Jakarta Police’s Traffic Directorate and the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP). The agency, Andri added, would call on Transjakarta to provide more buses and serve more passengers.
The 3-in-1 policy removal trial was conducted in two stages, on April 5-8 and April 11-13. Previously, the three-in-one regulation was applied from 7 to 10 a.m. and from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on regular days.
