TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Transportation Ministry launches online-based application airline personnel permit on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. With this app, airline personnel no longer need to visit the Transportation Ministry’s Office to fill out a registration form or license renewal.
“It can be done anywhere, it will not waste their time and it’s more efficient,” Jonan said Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
According to Jonan, passengers will receive several advantages with the release of the online application as the flight schedules can be arranged more effectively so flight delays may reduce. “Because no more many airlines personnel coming [to the Ministry’s office] to apply for the licensing.”
Director General of Air Transportation Suprasetyo said the online app will be beneficial for airline personnel, pilots, cabin crews, and flight operation officers.
Suprasetyo said the online system will support the process of issuing the airlines personnel’s license. The process of submitting the application form, uploading the data, and the results, can be seen online and stored in the server so it will ease the personnel in doing the licensing. “The license test result can be acquired within a short period and will be transparent,” he said.
“Payments will also be easier and quick. It also contains electronic codes to prevent counterfeiting,” Suprasetyo added.
This online-based app development is also expected to be a momentum to improve aviation safety in Indonesia. “In order to provide security, comfort, and safety for air transportation users,” said Jonan.
Today, April 13, 2016 the Director General of Air Transportation for the Transportation Ministry launches an online-based application airline personnel permit. The app is released to facilitate airline personnel to handle licensing business that supports the security and safety of the passengers.
