TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has considered summoning Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama over the bribery case surrounding the discussion of the regional regulation draft on the Jakarta Bay reclamation project.

“It depends on the needs of investigation,” KPK spokesperson Priharsa Nugraha said at his office on Thursday, April 7, 2016. “If investigators need [to question] the [Jakarta] Governor, then there will be a summon.”

On Thursday, April 7, 2016 the anti-graft commission proved four Jakarta administration’s officials, namely Jakarta Financial and Asset Management Board head Heru Budi Hartono, the Jakarta Development Planning Board head Tuti Kusumawati, former director general for marine, coastal and small island affairs Sudirman Saad, and regional secretary assistant for development and environment Gamal Sinurat.

Priharsa explained that the probe was performed to reveal the chronology of the regional regulation draft issuance and its development. However, Priharsa revealed that KPK investigators were still focusing on the involvement of bribery.

The KPK also proved two businessmen Golf Mediterania Pantai Indah Kapuk director Budi Nurwono and Hardy Halim.

The investigation into the case began when the KPK caught Jakarta Legislative Council member Mohammad Sanusi in an operation launched on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Sanusi allegedly received a bribe from Agung Podomoro Land (APL) president director to grease the permit application for the Jakarta Bay reclamation project. Later, the anti-graft commission named Sanusi, Ariesman and APL staff Trinanda Prihantoro as suspects in the case.
