TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Basaria Panjaitan says that the KPK investigators will visit China in relation to the investigation of R.J. Lino case. Lino is alleged to have been involved in the corruption of QCC procurement in Pelindo II.
“They [investigators] will visit China again,” Basaria said at his office, Monday, February 29, 2016.
However, Basaria did not reveal the departure time. Basaria said that KPK investigators had previously visited China to investigate the same case.
RJ Lino is a suspect in QCC procurement in Pelindo II in 2010. He allegedly has misused his authority to enrich himself or others or a corporation in relation to the QCC procurement. The modus operandi was to directly appoint HDHM from China as the provider of three QCC units. The three QCC units had been stationed at Panjang Seaport, Palembang and Pontianak.
Lino is charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) and/or Article 3 of Law on Corruption Eradication in conjuction with Article 55 paragraph (1) item 1 of Indonesian Criminal Code.
Basaria said that the data on the state loss caused by Lino is still being reviewed by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). “We have yet to receive the official account,” he said.
