Hectares of Paddy Fields in Indramayu Inundated by Floodwater

TEMPO.CO, Indramayu - Thousands of hectares of paddy fields in Indramayu Regency were inundated by floodwater and if the floodwater does not recede soon, it is feared that the paddy will die and get rotten.
Heavy rain for days in a number of districts in Indramayu have caused floods in the areas and the floods did not only inundate houses but also paddy fields.
"Around 12,000 hectares of paddy fields are inundated by floodwater,” said Head of Indramayu Farmers and Fishermen Society (KTNA), Sutatang, on Sunday (14/2).
The inundated paddy fields were spread in districts such as Kandanghaur, Losarang, Cantigi, Arahan, Balongan, Krangkeng and some parts of Lohbener.
