TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - European Union has disbursed Rp150 billion of fund to assist entrepreneurs in six provinces - Maluku, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, and West Nusa Tenggara, according to Program of Manager of EU Delegation for Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam Nur Isravivani in Ambon on Friday (12/2).
"The funds are disbursed to help empower entrepreneurs from those six provinces. The funds are in the form of capital for running business,” she added.
Nur added that program has been implemented since 2014 until 2020.
She added that the management and distribution of the funds are directly handled by Regional Economic Development Institute (REDI) form Trunojoyo University in East Java through the Centre for Investment and Trade Advisory (CITRA) program.
"Entrepreneurs who want to receive capital for their business can file their proposal through the REDI for selection. The funds can also be used by non-governmental organizations,” she added.
