TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Puspayoga, Minister of Cooperatives and Small, Medium Enterprises, said that the amount of people's business credit (Kredit Usaha Rakyat/KUR) disbursement has reached Rp8.229 trillion per February 5, 2016. The loan was disbursed to 381,335 debtors.
"[We are] quite happy with the KUR achievement at the beginning of this year because the banks appointed as KUR lenders are pretty aggressive in disbursing the loans," the minister said in a written statement Tempo received on Friday, February 12.
In Denpasar and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) in January, Puspayoga said, Bank Rakyat Indonesia in respective branches had disbursed 20 percent of their Rp 1 trillion KUR disbursement target.
Puspayoga is confident that this year's KUR disbursement target of Rp100 trillion will be achieved. He is even optimistic that the target can be surpassed, considering this year's business climate is friendlier than in 2015.
To meet the target, Puspayoga said his ministry will work with cooperatives as KUR lenders.
