TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia will adjust its ticket prices following the upper and lower limit tariff reduction that will be implemented on February 28, 2016.
Garuda president director Arif Wibowo said that aviation businesses could still accommodate five percent tariff reduction. "This is a pro-market [decision]. Prices of avtur have decreased, so the new upper and lower limit tariff can be [applied]," said Arif on Friday, February 12, 2016.
The upper and lower limit tariff reduction is regulated in Transportation Minister Regulation No. 14/2016 that regulates mechanism and formulation of domestic air transportation tariff.
Arif explained that the new tariffs will be adjusted in accordance with available flight schedules flight time and prices offerred by other aviation companies.
