TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) recorded a total of Rp5.5 trillion (US$398.5 billion) in bond and Islamic debt papers (sukuk) emissions in 2016. Data from the IDX, as quoted by Bisnis on Sunday, February 7, 2016 revealed that the total value was gained from 4 bond and sukuk emissions recorded by three issuers.
On Friday, February 5, 2016, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI) recorded Rp4.65 trillion (US$336.9 million) in continuous bonds in 2016. Earlier, PT Bank Capital Indonesia (BCAP) had recorded Bank Capital II Subordination bonds with a value of Rp250 billion (US$18.1 billion).
PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Sumatera Barat (Bank Nagari) had also issued its bonds and sukuk in 2016. The total number of bond and sukuk emissions at the IDX had reached 278 issued by 102 issuers.
The current outstanding nominal values have reached Rp252.85 trillion (US$18.3 billion) and US$100 million. Meanwhile, the number of government debt papers recorded at the IDX to this date has reached 92 series with a total value of Rp1,445.27 trillion (US$104.7 billion) and US$1.04 billion. The EBA value stands at Rp2.32 trillion (US$168.1 million).
