TEMPO.CO, Manado - Indosat Ooredoo is seriously developing its business in the financial area.  During the media gathering in Manado, North Sulawesi, Group Head Mobile Finane Services Indosat Ooredoo Rany Pangalila said this year will be a search income in the financial service sector.

“I see that communications opportunity changed society who has yet been approached by banking or unbankable to become bankable,” Randy said in Manado on Tuesday, Feb 3.  Indosat Ooredoo is preparing about 11 financial service programs which will reach millions of Indonesian people.

Those 11 programs, said Randy, will be issued gradually.  The launch will begin with a financial service dubbed Dompetku Nusantara which has been implemented from the central Indonesian region, Bitung City, North Sulawesi.  “Dompetku Nusantara service will be an electronic financial service that will reach society who are far away from banking access,” said Randy.

Randy said Dompetku Nusantara program will use Dompetku agents that are spread throughout Indonesia.  through Dompetku Nusantara, society can perform deposit, transfer and cash withdrawal transactions.  It could also be used as a method of payment in various shopping outlets just like banking-owned electronic money.
