TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Finance Ministry has adopted green economy approach as part of the effort to support he government's climate change prevention program. Currently, the Ministry has applied the approach on six sectors and 21 priority projects.
The six sectors include forestry, peatland, marine resources, agriculture, irrigation rehabilitation and energy and industry. Other sectors that will be subject to green economy approach include transportation and infrastructures, health and education, and disaster management.
"These six sectors are connected to each other, so there has to be calculation of natural resources and stocks," said Macroeconomic and International Finance Expert Staff Andi Hadiyanto on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
Andin said that the abovementioned sectors are significant because they have been included as priority sectors in relation to climate change prevention.
Andin added that the Finance Ministry had also implemented budget tracking measures to manage budget related to climate change prevention efforts.
