TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) development director Nicky Hogan said that the presence of foreign applicants for the Capital Market Professional-Development Program (CMP-DP) in BEI should be viewed positively.
According to Nicky, foreign applicants presence should be treated as a motivation for Indonesian youths to improve their competitiveness. "It's good if it's a healthy competition. It means that foreigners are willing to work in the stock market. Domestic workers should also join," said Nicky on Wednesday, January 20, 2016.
Last Saturday, BEI along with PT Kliring Penjaminan Efek Indonesia (KPEI) and PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) held a new employees selection process through the CMP-DP.
Nicky said that there were 4,200 people participating in the selection, some were from Singapore and China. From those applicants, only 30 qualified candidates can join an on job training.
