TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bogor-Jakarta Commuter Line (KRL) railroad broke, causing commuters late for works. “It broke at 06.03 a.m. on the 23rd kilometer, between Lenteng Agung and Pasar Minggu stations,” said Commuter Line communication manager Eva Chairunisa, Tuesday, January 19, 2016.
The incident has made commuter line to be late for hours since it leaves only one railroad available, explained Eva.
“We’ve finished repairing it at 07.05 and there is still a long line until now,” said Eva.
Jakarta Kota-Bogor and Jatinegara-Bogor commuter line routes are disrupted.
Thousands of people heading to work to Jakarta are waiting at Bogor station until Lenteng Agung station.
Given the queue, KCJ suggested that passengers prioritize safety, and not pushing through when the train is full with people.
Besides the broken railway, Commuter Line serving the residents of Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, and Jakarta is usually also experiencing pantograph and signal disturbance.
