TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Depok administration planned to build an outer ring road in a bid to address traffic issues in the city, Depok Bina Marga Road and Bridge Agency head Hardiman said on Sunday, January 17, 2016.
“The Depok Outer Ring Road (DORR) is a long-term plan. The Detail Engineering Plan will be auctioned after the new mayor is inaugurated,” Hardiman added.
However, the city administration could not confirm yet the total budget necessary to realize the project. The DORR, Hardiman added, was planned to connect Parung with Bogor in south, as well as Juanda and Cinere in the north.
“The new road will also become an alternative way to Jagorawi toll road and Desari,” he added.
Herniwati, head of the Physical and Infrastructures Subdivision at the City Development Planning Agency, said that the DORR project had been included in the city long-term development plan.
“There was an adjustment with the regional regulation on the Spatial Planning as development guidelines in the future. We need to adjust the content,” she added.
