TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police Headquarters spokesman Insp. Gen. Antit Charliyan confirmed that the police’s Densus 88 counterterrorism squad localizes several regions suspected of being hiding places for terrorist groups.

“I can’t mention the regions. What’s clear is that they have moved to those places,” said Anton on Thursday.

Anton declined to name the regions and only said they are in Java and outside of Java. “If they have been caught, we’ll let you know,” he said.

According to Anton, the organization that was behind the Sarinah attacks is still being probed. The police suspected that the attacks were carried out by ISIS.

Previously, explosions occurred at Starbucks in Sarinah, Thamrin, Jakarta on Thursday. There was also a shootout between the police and gunmen. Five of the attackers were reportedly dead.
