Soekarno-Hatta Airport Tightens Security to Prevent Burglary

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II which manages Soekarno-Hatta International Airport will work with airlines in tightening security system to prevent burglary of passengers’ luggage.

“We seek to help airlines in handling luggage bulglary,” said PT Angkara Pura II senior general manager Zulfahmi on Sunday, January 3.

Zulfahmi said the airport luggage and security system is strengthened through CCTV monitoring for 24 hours. Coordination with airlines and ground handling is also being done to improve services.

“Our job is to look for solutions for passengers’ problems,” he said.

Airport Aviation Security coordinated with Soekarno-Hatta Police and caught a luggage burglar on November 2015. “This is real evidence of our commitment,” added Zulfahmi.
