TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tempo recently received awards as one of the media outlets that actively support religious tolerance in Indonesia. The competition, which was the first to be held in Indonesia, was organized by the Religious Ministry. Prizes for the competition were awarded during the Religious Tolerance Awarding Night at the Ministry’s office on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
Koran Tempo journalist Kodrat Setiawan managed to win the first prize for the best printed media journalist category, followed by Rahmat Fajar, a journalist from Republika in second place. Meanwhile, Tempo.co journalist Maria Rita Hasugian wins the first prize for the best online media journalist category, followed by Aghnia Adzkia from CNN Indonesia in second place, and Sandro Gatra from Kompas.com in third place.
Another win was scored by Koran Tempo for the best printed media category followed by Kompas in second place. As for the best online media category, Tempo.co managed to secure first place followed by CNN Indonesia and Kompas.com in second and third place, respectively.
"The award is not merely a form of appreciation, but also intended to motivate and inspire others," said Religious Minister Lukman Hakim Saifuddin.
