Unilever Names Two New Directors

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- PT Unilever Indonesia has named new directors of the company who will be working effectively in 2016. The decision was announced in the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held at Crowne Plaza Grand Ballroom Hotel in South Jakarta, on Tuesday, December 15.

PT Unilever Director and Secretary Company Sancoyo Antarikso said the meeting had settled the resignation of Hadrinus Setiawan and Ramakrishnan Raghurahman as company directors and the inauguration of two new company directors; Mr. Willy Saelan and Ms. Amparo Cheung Aswin.  “The change will be effective on the first of January 2016,” Sancoyo said Wednesday, December 16.

Willy Saelan was a HR Director for Leadership Supply & Organization effectiveness, AAMEE (Asia, Africa Middle East, Eastern Europe Region), and HR Director Marketing & R&D South East Asia.  Meanwhile, Amparo Cheung Aswin already had a career in Unilever, covering VP Supply Chain Foods Asia, Africa, Middle East, Turkey & Russia, as well as VP Manufacturing Foods & Refreshmen, South East Asia.

The company which has been operating its business in more than 80 years in Indonesia, is headquartered in London,British, and Rotterdam, Netherland. “Unilever believes that the new board of directors will be able to improve and grow the company continually,” said Sancoyo.

Unilever wants to create a brighter future for society everyday. “Our vision, as stated in the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan (USLP), is to develop our business twofold, but at the same time reducing the impact towards the environment and to increase positive impact towards society.”
