TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Japanese Film Festival will greet Jakarta film enthusiasts starting from November 26 to December 1, in Jakarta. As many as 30 film titles will be screened inlcuding samurai, horror, and Oscar-nominated animation films.
A Samurai Chronicle by Takashi Koizumi will be opening the festival. Director General of The Japan Foundation said in his press release on November 19 that the film is Takashi’s best film which was released last year.
Horror film entitled The Complex by Hideo Nakata and animation film The Tale of Princess Kaguya are also on the screening schedule along with long-duration films such as Being Good, The Little House, The Kirishima Thing, Giovanni’s Island and The Great Passage.
Japanese Film Festival is presented by Agency for Cultural Affairs -- Japan in collaboration with Japan Embassy in Indonesia, The Japan Foundation, Japan Image Council and Hellomotion.
All films will be screened at CGV blitz at Grand Indonesia, West Mall, Jakarta.
“Tickets are Rp20,000 and will be available for purchase starting tomorrow in all of our channel,” CGV Blitz representative, Dian Sunardi said.
