TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives’ Commission VII overseeing energy supported Pertamina to take a corporate action related to forensic audit report on PT Pertamina Energy Trading Limited (Petral).
The House’s Energy Commission also asked Pertamina to take a legal action if there was any indication of crime act involved.
“If the audit results indicate a state loss or crime act, Pertamina or the Energy Ministry must take a legal action,” Energy Commission deputy chief Satya Widya Yudha said on Wednesday, November 25.
Satya added that the corporate action must be taken if there was any confidentiality breach through email by individuals in Petral.
Earlier, Pertamina deactivated four former Petral Managers for leaking tenders and using their own calculation results. They allegedly acted as brokers for a third party who arranged the tender, causing imported oil to be more expensive that it should.
Satya said that Pertamina’s move to suspend the four managers was a part of corporate actions and must be supported. Satya added that House’s Energy Commission had not received Petral’s audit report yet.
