Bandung Airport Increases Security, Anticipates Terrorist Threat

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - General Manager of Husein Sastranegara Airport, Dorma Manulu, said that the Transportation Ministry has asked the airport to improve its security. Dorma added that the airport management has increased security details in the passenger queue and airside areas.
Dorma explained that security officers will require passengers to provide more space during queueing. "We need to have a more detailed checkings," Dorma said.
Dorma also advised passengers to comply with the procedures."It is inconvenient, but we need to have a detailed search," Dorma said.
Previously, the Transportation Ministry had warned civilian airlines to remain cautious and take anticipation measures in relation increasing global terrorism.
