TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Eradication Corruption Commission (KPK) summons five South Sumatra government officials related to the bribing of Local Parliament members. KPK Public Relations Yuyuk Andriati Iskak says those five people will be questioned regarding non-active North Sumatra Governor Gatot Puji Nugroho’s case.
“They are examined as witnesses for the alleged bribery of South Sumatra’s Local Parliament,” Yuyuk said Wednesday, Nov 25.
Those five government officials are Head of Youth and Sport Baharuddin Siagian, Head of Financial Bureau of Regional Secretary Ahmad Fuad Lubis, Regional Secretary Hasban Ritongga, former North Sumatra Regional Secretary Sabrina, and Local Parliament Secretariate Treasury Muhammad Alinafiah.
KPK has set Gatot as a suspect for bribing local parliament of North Sumatra periods 2009-14 and 2014-19 last November. Besides Gatot, KPK has also set five local parliament members as the alleged bribe receivers.
They are Head of regional parliament 2014-19 of Golkar faction Ajib Shah, Head of regional parliament 2009-14 and North Sumatra regional parliament member 2014-19 of Demokrat faction Saleh Bangun, Deputy Head of regional parliament 2009-14 of PAN faction Kamaludin Harahap, and Deputy Head regional of parliament 2009-14 of PKS faction Sigit Pramono Asri.
The bribe was to pass the local-budget or government accountability report of North Sumatra Province and was done several times.
