TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama is giving Transjakarta management an opportunity to improve itself until the end of the year. If the bus stop and bus issue are not resolved, next year, the management will possibly be replaced.
Ahok says there are still many bus replacements in corridor 6 that has not been recieved by PT Tranjakarta. “There are also many bus stops that not been handed over to PT Transjakarta,” Ahok said in City Hall on Tuesday, October 12.
Ahok previously received complaints from residents regarding unmaintained bus stops and damaged buses in corridor 6. Ahok said he has already instructed PT Transjakarta to maintain bus stops and replace the damaged buses.
He denied that Transjakarta’s duty to fix bus stops and buses are task delegation from the Jakarta administration. Ahok claimed he has tried to disburse the fund.
Despite trying to provide the best service, Transjakarta service often receives complaints concerning old and damaged buses owned by several operators that are still running. Not to mention the poor road quality and inadequate bus stops. In Grogol for instance, the bridge accessing a bus stop is very filthy and disturbing.
