TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla and Minister of Justice and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly have proposed periodic evaluation to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"It has to be evaluated, for example every five or ten years,” said Kalla after meeting with Yasonna at the Vice Presidential Palace on Friday.
"So, if the result of the evaluation says that KPK is still needed, it has to be maintained,” he added
Kalla also hoped that KPK would function only as an institution to prevention corruption. However, he said that KPK still has to be evaluated periodically and has to be supervised as well. Kalla also said that it although KPK is an ad hoc institution, it may not be easily disbanded.
