TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta provincial government will put the focus of the 2016 Jakarta budget (APBD) to several physical and infrastructure sectors.
“Next year’s budget will be focused on physical development in all Jakarta regions, such as for school building renovation and flats constraction,” said Jakarta Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat on Wednesday.
Djarto estimated that the amount of the 2016 APBD will be around Rp6.2 trillion.
“We have to think realistically in accordance with the facts. It’s fine if we have small budget. The important thing is the budget must be used well,” said Djarot.
Besides infrastructure development in the capital city, Djarot said next year’s budget will also be reduced for procurement of heavy equipment.
“The budget for heavy equipment can be reduced because its procurement has been realized this year, so there’s no need to include it again in next year’s budget,” said Djarot.
Djarot continued that land acquisition programs that mostly use heavy equipment have also been executed by the Jakarta government this year. So, they can focus on building renovation and build public facilities for the people.
