JCI Drops 0.39% to 4,428.40, End of 1st Session Wednesday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Stock price index (JCI) drops down 0.39 percent or 17.38 points lower to the 4,428.40 level at the end of the first trading session on Wednesday, October 7.
The index was corrected after a surge in the previous two days. This morning, the JCI opened up 13.06 points, or increased 0.29 percent to 4,458.84.
Earlier, the index closed up significantly 102.08 points or 2.35 percent at 4,445.78. The strengthening happened in line with the strengthening of Asian markets and the appreciation of the rupiah against the US dollar.
Asian stocks rose as investors await monetary policy decisions on stimulus from the Bank of Japan. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose 0.2 percent to a level of 129.23. Japan's Topix index rose 0.2 percent, the Australian S&P/ASX 200 index fell 0.4 percent, New Zealand S&P/NZX 50 was little changed, South Korea's index rose 0.4 percent.
US stock markets varies with the Dow Jones index rose 13.76 points or 0.08 percent at 16,790.19 while the Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 closed at 1,979.92, down 0.36 percent.
The European markets rose as investors valuated and speculated weak economic data will encourage the central bank to keep monetary policy to accommodate longer. TheStoxx 600 closed up 0.58 percent or 2.08 points to 360.41.
