President Frees Visa for 75 Countries

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-President Joko Widodo has signed a Presidential Decree exempting visa for citizens of 75 countries, Antara News Agency reported Wednesday, October 7.

As uploaded in the Cabinet Secretariat website, on Wednesday, issuance of Presidential Decree no. 104/2015, is expected to increase tourist arrivals and stimulating the national economy.

The decree mentioned that the free-visa visit applies to foreign nationals who travel, on government duty, education, social, cultural, business, family, or stop over to continue traveling to other countries.

While provisions regarding to procedures for entry and exit of Indonesia for foreign nationals who obtain visa-free visits, and provisions concerning immigration checkpoints will be set through the Minister of Justice and Human Rights.
