TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Wianda Pusponegoro, spokeswoman for state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina said that the company had submitted a report containing options to lower fuel prices to the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry. However, Wianda stopped short of providing details related to options contained in the report.
"Everything has been delivered. Pertamina was ordered to calculate, we have, and all calculations have been handed over to the regulator," Wianda said to Tempo on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
Wianda said that one of the options provided by Pertamina is to lower the price of diesel fuel (Solar), which mostly used by public transportation vehicles. Again, Wianda refused to provide further details regarding the option and said that Pertamina will conform to any decision made by President Joko Widodo and the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.
Wianda said that today, October 6, 2015, the government and Pertamina directors held a meeting to discuss fuel prices. "We better wait for the meeting result and we'll see what steps that need to be taken," Wianda said.
