ANRI to Establish Presidential Archives and Archival School

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) will establish a Presidential Archives in the Gajah Mada archives building in Jakarta to allow the public to know more about Indonesian leaders.
"ANRI will have two main programs, to build presidential archives in Gajah Mada archives building and establish the Institute of Archival Science or STIKER," said ANRI chief Mustari Irawan on Monday, October 5, 2015.
Mustari said that the Presidential Archives will made in the for of a diorama that consists of the history of Indonesian Presidents' leadership, starting from President Soekarno, President Soeharto, President BJ Habibie, President Abdurrahman Wahid, President Megawati, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to President Joko Widodo.
Mustari expected the presidential archives to be finised in 2019. Mustari said that the Gajah Mada archives building was chosen because it has a historical value for Jakarta citizens. "It also has a special room to learn about Indonesian presidents so that people can get to know more about the leaders of Indonesia," Mustari said.
