Suspected Aviastar Plane Debris Reportedly Seen in Enrekang

TEMPO.CO, Makassar - Part of Search and Rescue (SAR) team who perform search on the missing Aviastar plane in Bone district has moved to Maiwa Village, Enrekang Regency, following up an information that says plane debris were seen in the region.
“We have sent six personnel to Maiwa Village to confirm the information, our team has also equipped with evacuation devices,” SAR coordinator Andi Sulthan said on Saturday.
Chief of Luwu Police Resort Office, Comm. Herman Paral leads the SAR team to Enrekang through the shortest trek passing Bua-Palopo and Toraja.
In the mean time, Andi asserted that the search on Bua, Bastema and Latimojong mountain range will continue to be perfomed.
The Twin Otter aircraft went missing during its flight from Masamba at 2:29 p.m. It was scheduled to arrive at the Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar, South Sulawesi, at 3:39 p.m.
