TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) released its latest product in celebration of the 70th Kereta Api anniversary, which is the automated ticket machine dubbed Train Ticketing Maching (TTM).
This machine can make ticket payments with debit, credit and prepaid card once the buyer inserts his data. “TTM is similar to a pre-existing vending machine, but more advanced,” Head of Public Relations PT KAI Bambang Prayitno said in Jakarta on Monday, September 28.
TTM is a ticket machine in the form of vending machine that can issue train tickets. With this machine, society can purchase train tickets starting from H-90 to H-4 for a maximum of 4 adults and 4 infants.
Operating this machine is fairly simple. First, a buyer must select a date of departure, station of origin, destination station and the number of passengers, while inserting datas such as a name, ID number, date of birth, and phone number of the buyer and passenger who will be departing via a touch screen display on the machine. Payment transactions with this machine will not be charged extra and without discounts, such as purchasing tickets directly at a counter.
In the early phase, PT KAI will provide nine ticket machines in Gambir Station and one in Bandung Station. For the next phase, these machines will be available throughout all departure stations.
