Indonesia-Malaysia Literary Conference Talks About Friendship

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - H.B. Jassin Center for Literary Documentation held the III/2015 Indonesia-Malaysia Literary Conference (TSIM) at Amphiteater Nu Art Sculpture Park, Bandung, recently. A Poetry Anthology entitled ‘2015 Friendship of Two Nations’, was also launched.
“The event gathers 100 Indonesian and Malaysian poets. There is also participants from Thailand, China, and other countries, so it is not limited to Indonesia-Malaysia area,” said Enung Nurhayati, the person in charge of the event, in Bandung.
A reading of Gurindam 12 entitled “Menulislah Walau Sebaris Puisi” (Write, Even Just A Line of Poem) opened the event on Friday, which was presented by Ibram and Ratna Ayu.
Differently from previous years’ event, TSIM III/2015 features an international seminar that discuss about literary development in nations with similar ethnicity. The seminar was held on Saturday, September 19 in collaboration with Padjajaran University.
The event was closed on Sunday with an agenda of Cultural Tourism for all participants, Enung explained.
