TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The NOAA-18 satellite has detected 17 hot spots in East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan, the East Kalimantan Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) reported Saturday, September 5.
Acting Head of East Kalimantan BPBD Wahyu Widhi Heranata on Saturday reported that those 17 hot spots were detected on Friday, September 4.
"The image of the NOAA-18 satellite on Friday detected 17 hot spots in East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan,” Wahyu confirmed.
According to him, those hot spots were detected in five areas in North Kalimantan, namely two hot spots in Nunukan regency and three hot spots in Bulungan regency.
In the meantime, 12 hot spots were also detected in East Kalimantan, including three hot spots in Kutai Barat and Kutai Kartanegara regency, four hot spots in Paser regency and two hot spots in Mahakam Ulu regency.
