TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has asked his ministers at the Working Cabinet to revise 110 regulations that could potentially hamper investment climate in the country.
“I heard [Tuesday] that there have been 110 regulations that could hamper the business climate. I hope that a meeting can be held in Bogor this week to address this issue,” Jokowi said when opening a cabinet meeting at the Presidential Office on Wednesday, September 2, 2015.
Jokowi also called on relevant ministries to immediately revise laws on the investment to avoid the need to draft new bills.
“I want to revise the hampering regulations on products or services. I hope that the existing bills would be revised, instead of creating new ones. I expect that we can figure out which laws to be revised with the House of Representatives this month,” Jokowi added.
Jokowi revealed he would focus on the amendment of the law on the the Financial Safety Net (JPSK).
