Teten Masduki Inaugurated as New Chief of Presidential Office

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday, September 2, 2015, inaugurated new chief of the Presidential Office, Teten Masduki, to succeed Luhut Binsar Panjaitan who was promoted to become the Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Minister.
The inauguration was based on President’s decision No. 91/P/2015 on the termination and the inauguration of the chief of the Presidential Office.
“I pledge my allegiance to the 1945 Constitution and will abide the applicable laws and regulations,” Teten said when taking his oath at the State Palace.
Earlier, several names were mentioned as candidates of the chief of the Presidential Office, namely Johny Lumintang, Fachrur Rozy and Sri Adiningsih.
Teten previously joined Jokowi’s campaign team during the presidential race back in 2014. Teten was appointed as a special staff of the Cabinet Secretary and a member of the Presidential Communication team.
