TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sony’s flagship handset, the Xperia Z5, will be the first handset that packs a 4K display, according to a leak from the Clubic.com.  In the video, Sony Mobile Communications Marketing Director Olivier Terme said the company will launch three latest Z5 series including the Z5 Standard, the Z5 Compact and the Z5 Premium.

The Z5 Compact will sport a 710p 4.6 inch display, while the Z5 Standard will come with a 1080p 5.2 inch display.  For the larger version, the Z5 Premium, packs a 5.5 inch display with 3840x2160 resolution.  Terme says the Z5 Premium is the first 4K handset.

The three smartphones will freature a 23MP camera with 0.03 seconds autofocus and 5x digital zoom.  The phones will also be water-resistant and dust-resistant just like the Xperia Z3+ model, but with a more intriguing feature, micro connector, water-proof USB.

The metal-casing smartphones will retain Sony’s boxy design, although it now has a carved Xperia logo for a more premium look.  The Z5 will be the first Sony phone to have a fingerprint sensor, which is installed in an unusual place, on the power botton side.

Both the Z5 smartphones are rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 810 SoCs processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Sony will introduce it at the IFA in Berlin, which is the largest electronic exhibition in Europe, this weekend.
