TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has not responded to a resignation threat voided by PT Pelindo II director Richard Joost Lino. Jokowi said that he had not received any report about the resignation intent.
“I’ll comment after I receive the report,” Jokowi said in Central Jakarta on Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Earlier on Friday, August 28, the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate searched RJ Lino’s office, located on the seventh floor of the IPC building at Tanjung Priok Port, in relation to a corruption case surrounding the lengthy dwelling time at the port. Reports said that RJ Lino was surprised with the raid.
As witnessed by journalists, Lino called National Development Planning Ministser Sofyan Djalil to report the incident to Jokowi.
“I want this problem to be settled tonight. Otherwise I’ll quit tomorrow,” he said.
