Nine Litterateurs Win Rancage Award

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Rancage Cultural Foundation has announced literacy award to nine Sundanese, Javanese, Balinese and Batak litterateurs. The awards were handed-over at the newly-opened Ajip Rosidi public library on Jalan Garut 2, Bandung, on Saturday, August 22.

Dian Hendrayana, Aam Amilia, Triman Laksono, Yulitin Sungkowati, Ngurug Pasih, I Nyoman Adiputra, Saut Poltak Tambunan, and Leonardus Egidius Joosten are the winning litterateurs for their published book written in their local language and their contribution to the Indonesian literacy.

The category for Batak Toba literacy, that was won by Saut Poltak Tambunan and Leonardus Egidius Joosten is this year’s new category. A children book written in Sundanese language entitled ‘Kasambet’ won the award for children book category.

Each winner is entitled to Rp5 million money prize.
