Stefan Cooks American Cuisine Ala Indonesia in MasterChef Asia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - MasterChef Asia will be held for the first time. Two contestants from Indonesia are ready to compete with 13 other contestants.
Stefan Pratama, 26, admitted that he initially hesitates to join this event. “There was five days left for registration, I was hesitant but eventually my registered,” he said, Wednesday, August 19.
The man who previously worked as Sales Representative said he is pleased and at the same time did not think he could be one of the contestants of MasterChef Asia.
"Initially, I the only saw it onTV, from MasterChef Indonesia, Australia and so on. Uh, now I am on TV," said Stefan.
His interest in the cooking world started when he went to school in Singapore and the United States.
"While living there, I missed with Indonesian cuisine, so I learned to cook," he said. "When am home, I miss Singaporean and Western cuisine, so I learned to cook those food too," he continued.
Because of this, in the end he considered his culinary abilities in New American cuisine which he describes as classic American cuisine with a taste of Indonesia.
