TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three boys without identities were found dead by the rail tracks on Sunday, August 16, in Duren Jaya district, Bekasi.
Rustamuji (22), a security officer at Bekasi train station, said that the boys were hit by a train. He said the train station was given information from a machinist of Taksaka train bound for Yogyakarta at around 9:30 am.
"We received information that there were three boys who were playing on the railway and they were hit by the train,” Rustamuji said.
After receiving the information, he said that security officers combed the railway between Bekasi station and Tambun station and they finally found the boys already dead by the railway, which is situated behind Pasar Baru Bekasi.
"We’ve reported the incident to the police,” Rustamuji added.
In the meantime, spokesperson of Bekasi Police Adj. Comr. Siswo confirmed the incident. He also said that the police had already investigated the accident site and the police did not found any identities of the boys.
"Residents living near the railway do not recognize them,” Siswo added.
The boys’ bodies have been evacuated to Bekasi regional hospital for autopsy.
